Tron Legacy

Cinematography

"Tron Legacy" is an awesome trip from start to finish. All the graphics we expect from the first movie have been revamped and shot with mastery unparalleled.

Actors

Jeff Bridges (Clue, Kevin Flynn)

Garrett Hedlund (Sam Flynn)

Olivia Wilde (Quorra)

Storyline

Jeff Bridges (Kevin Flynn) returns in his role as the creator of the "Grid". The movie picks up years later as Kevin Flynn is talking to his son just before his disappearance. Now years later Sam Flynn (Garret Hedlund), the 27 year old tech savvy son of the grids creator, looks into his father's disappearance. Once inside the virtual world he is quickly snatched up by the evil game keeper Clue (Jeff bridges) and just as quickly rescued by Quorra (Olivia Wilde). Alongside his father he must escape the Grid and prevent Clue from doing the same. Along the way we see some familiar objects, the light cycles and disk wars, and some new objects (Quorra's quad). Tron is now a bad guy, and later a good guy again. They leave it open perfectly for a sequel in the end.

Review

From start to finish Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund give gripping and masterful performances. I was shocked how believable these two are as USERS trapped in a world of PROGRAMS. Olivia Wilde plays an ISOMORPH refugee. Together these three must defeat the evil clue (Jeff Bridges), retrieve Kevin's data disk and escape the grid locking clue inside. The stunning outfits, the double deal characters, and Jeff Bridges incredible acting skills make this a wonderful addition to the Tron franchise. The ending is totally unexpected, I won't ruin it, but when you watch this you are going to be pleasantly surprised.

All in all this is an awesome movie. If you are going to watch only one Sci-Fi movie this holiday season Tron Legacy should be that movie.
