An older, wiser Jeff Bridges will reprise his role (and from the looks of it, his neon light body suit) made famous in 1982's geek cult classic Tron for the sequel due out at the end of the year, Tron: Legacy. In the sequel, as seen in this trailer, it appears Flynn's (Jeff Bridges) son is looking for his long-lost father in the arcade Bridges' character ran in the original.

The iconic light bikes from Tron also appear to make a come back in Tron: Legacy, abeit with some 21st century updates in CGI technology. It's hard to believe the original light bikes, as seen in this trailer for the original Tron, with their painfully 80s, block-like 3D rendering, were once the apex of special effects technology in movies.

It's been 28 years between the original Tron and Tron: Legacy, as Jeff Bridges points out in this Associated Press video, but Disney held off on moving forward with previous Tron sequels that had been put forth because "all the pieces weren't there," Bridges said. Look for Tron: Legacy on Dec. 17.
