The Hibiscus does best when it is placed into the ground. Depending on the soil you might need to add more potting soil and sand to support the base of the pant when it is placed into a deep hole in the ground depending on the size of the pant. It is very important to not cover the bark of the tree just above the root this is to prevent the bark from rotting and killing the plant. Bougainvillea also do well in the ground but would need a wall, trellis or fence to support the branches. This plant grows very tall and it has thorns. This plant requires support and to be placed in an area that is not too small or close to contact. The orchids are a favorite of many people they are planted as hanging baskets, pots and also tied onto trees. Many stores sell orchid potting soil and some people use coconut husk and pieces of charcoal mixed together. This plant requires much more care than the hibiscus or bougainvillea and it does not like too much water or sun. A shady place is best and watering once a week will do just fine. Many people that I have spoken too use orchid food to get their orchids to grow and bloom often.
Flowers with beautiful colors lift my mood and make me happy. These flowers require some attention and that is something that just becomes part of your schedule after a time. We all need things to take care of and like a pet this can be something that you give your love too and in return you have a beautiful plant that enhances your surroundings.
