Tropical fruits really do have benefits
It's that time of year that many people are taking walks, working out, gardening, taking vacations and buying tropical fruits. In just about any shopping cart you are more than likely to find bananas, pineapples, papayas, mangoes, guava and even coconuts. From fresh whole fruits to dried to canned to juices you see it all over.Myself I love tropical fruits so I wanted to share the benefits of them, you may be surprised to find out what your favorite tropical fruit can do for you.

We'll start off with pineapple, loaded with vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium, fiber and tons of vitamin C.This fruit is low in fat and cholesterol and just 1 cup of pineapple juice can give you 73% of the RDA of manganese a mineral that helps build bone and connective tissue in your body. But that's not all while many people turn to vitamin C pills or orange juice when they have a cold or cough the bromelian found in pineapples can help to suppress coughs and loosen mucus.A pineapple can satisfy a sweet tooth better than a candy bar and is more beneficial for you.

Next we'll take a look at papaya, very rich in vitamins A,C and E as well as calcium, phosphorus and iron.Papaya is high in digestive properties generally used to help treat stomach ulcers and high fevers. It is second in growth and distribution only to bananas.

Mangoes considerably high in Gallic acid,it is a natural source of disinfectant to the body.It can help in fever soothing as well as to eliminate the amount of body odor people produce.

Bananas, the sugars found in bananas are readily assimilated, they contain many vitamins and minerals and great deal of fiber. They are low in fat and help to suppress the appetite.Bananas being high in potassium help the bowels and muscular system.

Guavas, this fruit is usually referred to as the "apple" of the tropics. It is high in potassium, phosphorus, sulfur and chlorine making it a excellent source for the skeletal and lymphatic system.

Lastly we take a look at coconuts, although many people love the coconut taste many use it use it only in flake form as a topping of some sort.Coconut milk actually has a natural chemical balance, which means it is a complete protein food (when ingested in it's natural state).Coconut is higher in fat content but loaded with phosphorus and calcium.

Early season some of these fruits may be hard to find but by mid season they are usually seen everywhere,if you can't seem to wait to long talk to your grocer about when the shipments will come in,you might just spark the attention workers and get your taste of tropics a bit faster and even though we do seem to crave these tropical sensations during the spring and summer months dried and juice form are available year round and just as beneficial to your body.
