Enjoy a Tropical Cocktail!

Here are a few easy rum based tropical drinks you can make at home to turn a dreary day into something a bit more tropical. Feel free to alter the recipes to suit your taste.

Banana Rum Frappe

2 oz light rum
1 oz banana liqueur
1 oz orange juice
orange for garnish
cracked ice

Add the rum, banana liqueur and the orange juice to a cocktail shaker with a bit of cracked ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass that is nearly filled with cracked ice. Add a slice of orange for garnish. If you want a frozen version of this drink, put all the ingredients in a blender and blend. While it is blending, drop a bit of ice a little at a time until you get the frozen consistency you like.

Remember, if you drink your way to paradise, make sure you stay put. Do not drink and drive. There's no reason to leave paradise anyway!
