The trouble with our politicians
Is all the trouble they go to
Telling us how trustworthy and honest they are.

Hey, shouldn't WE be the judge of that?
While they just get on with the job we pay them for?
And if we find they've lied and cheated or done things in OUR name we don't like
Shouldn't WE decide when they leave the stage?
Isn't THAT what democracy is all about?
Well, Tony Blair didn't seem to think so
But then he said once that he was only answerable to his God.
I wonder what HIS God thinks about all those collaterally dead Iraqis.
