Troy Polamalu Gets His Hair Insured for $1 Million Dollars

Troy Polamalu, Pittsburg Steelers safety, can now lay claim to having the most expensive hair in the NFL and the first insured locks in NFL history. Good grief folks can you believe this? No it is not a tabloid gossip column this is real. Scary right?

Troy Polamalu reportedly worked with Lloyds of London to have his hair insured for $1 million as part of a sponsorship package with Head and Shoulders hair products. Troy Polamalu has worked with Head and Shoulders over the years featuring what Troy Polamalu calls affectionately his "Samoan locks."

Really Troy Polamalu? Really? Insurance on your hair? Maybe if you cut it like the majority of football players you wouldn't get tackled by it so much and you could then do without the insurance. What some people will do for attention. That's America folks. Congratulations Troy Polamalu, you are officially the first person I've ever read about insuring their hair, maybe the first person ever to have such a deal worked out. This will definitely be remembered as one of the oddest news tidbits for August 2010, if not the whole year.
