Dead Fairy Godmother?
We all know the television series is not following the books verbatim, however should they have killed Sookie's fairy godmother already? Of course, the next question is did they kill her off at all? The scene where Eric attacks Claudine uncontrollably outside Sookie's house felt rushed, not to mention weird. You watch each week ready to be shocked and awed but only end up with these very strange occurences. Another quick thing about Claude and Claudine, what is this troll/ elf appearance they are sporting?
Debbie VanPelt
Is anyone else buying the June Cleaver transformation of Debbie? From V addicted murdering werewolf hollering about her cooter to this cupcake baking housewife is a bit of a stretch even for True Blood HBO! Fans were probably as shocked by her appearance as Sookie appeared to be! If you are rooting for the Eric/ Sookie hookup this little rabbit trail is nothing to get your knickers in a twist about, but it is still kind of an awkward addition?
Eric Northman- Bumbling School Boy?
I will admit that Eric's new demeanor is spot on when it comes to the book description, and the actor has pulled off the transformation amazingly. Some of his expressions and statements are flat out hilarious, but if the directors are not careful they will overplay the bumbling school boy and it will simply become as annoying as Marny's voice!
Rape?
Most fans of the Charlaine Harris series knew that Jason could be transformed into a were-panther to better the Hotshot bloodlines. But was anyone else uncomfortable with the scene that was pretty much all out gang rape? Jason Stackhouse and the True Blood HBO series in general has always been pretty highly sexed, but did this go a little too far? It is just one fans opinion that this scene was a touch uncomfortable!
Overall
So far this season is a mixed bag, at least for this die hard fan. Its not that most are expecting the series to completely mimic the books, because that would of course be Boring! However, hints that Eric will face the true death along with the new Bill, new Tara and oddities are confusing to say the least. Of course, until they kill the Viking Vampire I for one, will be tuning in! Eric goes and I am not so sure!
