Spoilers follow.
Bill goes upon bended knee to Sophie-Anne, Queen of the Louisiana vampires, and good heavens isn't she a regular piece of work. She likes to show her power by having diner while the suppliant,. Bill, is kept fuming, wondering what is happening to his dear ones. Time enough for that later, but for now it's time for some yahtzee and creepy conversation. One can hardly credit how a southern gentleman like Bill stands even being a vampire.
Sookie and Lafayette try to guard Tara from the wrath of Maryann. Unfortunately they cannot guard Tara's mom from the guilt trip of Tara, who seems to be determined to head back into the lioness's den to rescue Eggs. Tara escapes and, within seconds, is back under the spell of the evil Maryann.
Meanwhile, Sam is hiding out in his bar with Jason and Andy, wondering what to do next. Jason and Andy know what needs to be done, so it is off to the Sherriff's office for some hardware, even though Maryann seems to be impervious to bullets. In the meantime, Jason explains to Andy that being a big, dumb stud muffin is not all it's cracked up to be. Why, he has to work our all the time and watch porn he doesn't even enjoy to get ideas on pleasuring women. And forget about being a High School football star. Fun while it lasted, but now he's got knee problems and he not even being thirty.
Sam, in the meantime, is entertaining the children of one of his waitresses, who is too busy being insane to take care of them. Is mommy going to die? With any bad luck, likely not. Meanwhile Sam talks Eric into heading to Queen Sophie-Anne for advice on Maryann killing.
Back at the palace, Bill is getting awfully antsy. Finally Sophie-Anne relents and tells Bill that Maryann, who is older than the Greeks, wants to bring Dionysus into the world with a human sacrifice so that she can have sex with him and be devoured by him all at the same time. It seems like a silly thing to want, but there it is. So the time to off Maryann is about the time she is getting down to business with the Horned God.
Bill and Eric cross paths outside the palace and have a few words about the etiquette of Sookie.
Lafayette, in the meantime, takes a shot at Maryann and takes out her man servant instead. Fine by Maryann, because Lafayette is a better cook.
In the meantime, Sookie finds Tara and Eggs upstairs. They seem to have laid an egg. Don't ask, because I can't figure it out.
