True Blood Stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Remain Coy About Wedding Date

Will there be a summer wedding for "True Blood" stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer? The couple announced last August that their relationship had become more than just that of co-stars when they made their engagement public. The couple had kept their relationship low-key and hush hush previously but since their engagement has become public knowledge, Paquin and Moyer have remained coy and evasive about setting a wedding date.

Anna Paquin, 28, made it public knowledge in April that she was bisexual in a public service announcement for The Give a Damn Foundation. Her revelation about her sexual preference did not seem to be as surprising as the engagement announcement - or stir as much interest as Paquin's wedding date to Moyer.

For his part, Stephen Moyer, 40, has been evasive when asked about a wedding date. In March, an article in OK! magazine quoted Moyer as saying that his involvement in any wedding planning has been limited. ". . .I haven't done any yet," he told OK!

"True Blood" fans continue to wonder about the date for the nuptials but so far, no official word has been given. The fan site True Blood's Nest hints that rumors of a summer wedding maybe have some element of truth. The fan site states that the couple is expected to have a small, private ceremony when the wedding happens.

An article appearing on celebrity relationship site It's Raining Diamonds contradicts the idea of a summer wedding - at least for summer 2010. The site quoted Moyer at the HBO premiere of "True Blood's" latest season as saying that the rumors of an upcoming summer wedding are unfounded and that wedding plans have not even been started. Moyer hinted that a wedding date could be some ways away, actually with his comment ". . .we've got ages. We've got a lifetime."

When interviewed by the LA Times at the HBO "True Blood" premiere in June, Paquin was coy and managed to dodge an answer when asked directly about wedding plans for summer 2010. The interviewer said they had read that Paquin and Moyer would be getting married this summer. Her response was a non-commital and evasive "Where did you read that?"

In essence, Paquin deflected and redirected like a master, leaving fans and the media no more clear on when a wedding between the couple will occur than they were when the engagement was first announced almost a year ago.
