'True Blood' Stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Wed in Secret Ceremony

"True Blood" stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have been the subject of speculation about their nuptials since announcing their engagement in August 2009. According to Us Magazine, the couple exchanged vows on August 21 in a very secret and very private ceremony in Malibu, California.

Paquin and Moyer have fielded questions about a wedding from the press for months and left the public wondering when they would tie the knot. The couple has steadfastly remained coy and noncommittal about a wedding date which allowed them to marry privately without the massive paparazzi hoopla that most celebrity weddings suffer with.

The September 3 issue of Us Magazine hit the stands in late August and revealed grainy pictures of the wedding ceremony, showing Paquin in a simply and elegant Marilyn Monroe-esque white dress. Us Magazine reported that the private wedding ceremony included family and friends - notably a few stars from "True Blood" and actor Elijah Wood.

Paquin and Moyer did an excellent job of staying silent leading up to their wedding. Most celebrity couples deal with reporters and paparazzi crashing their wedding celebrations but Paquin and Moyer managed to stay tight-lipped about the nuptials. When asked, both were very coy and evasive about an actual wedding date. Many rumors circulated that they would be married during the summer of 2010 but the two continuously insisted they had not set a date and a wedding ceremony would not be forthcoming.

Kudos to the "True Blood" stars for managing to pull off a beautiful wedding without ruination from obnoxious paparazzi. The poor quality photos Us Magazine published show bride and groom and guests enjoying a simple ceremony and beach festivities. Congratulations to the happy couple as they begin their new life together and they deserve points for outsmarting the press.
