True Happiness

Genie Walker
True happiness lies deep within us.
Unfortunately, most of us are too busy to look.
We exist only in the moment.
Too busy working, playing or some such thing.
Ironically, we are trying to find that elusive blissfulness.
We are just too busy searching in the wrong places.
Once we stop and listen to our heart's desires,
All will be clear...happiness is within.

It's in that few minutes of the day when you stop and reflect.
Be respectful and learn how to nourish your soul.
Sharing a beautiful glowing sunset with a companion.
Sitting with your patient and always adorning pet.
Stopping for a sniff of those gloriously fragrant flowers.
Pausing to feel the wind brush against your skin.
Remember to cherish those moments of time.
For they led to the path of true happiness.

This is very true... Most of us do exist only in the moment.

How descriptive. I believe sometimes we think that happiness is a permanent state and when we don't have that place we need to realize that happiness comes in bits and pieces not in chapters or books. Great job.
