True Life on MTV

My guilty pleasure. True Life. I should be on the next episode titled..."True Life: I am addicted to True Life."

Where do they find these people? I have no idea. It doesn't matter which episode I tune into it's all the same. True Life is a reality show that documents everyday people trying to overcome difficult issues. Some episodes include "I Have a Husband in Iraq", "I Panic", "I Need Anger Management", "I'm Obese", "I'm Gay", and so much more. Way too many to list.

They usually showcases three different people and how they are dealing with their situation. I wonder if they pay them to be on the show because I would be embarrassed to show the world my problems. They are definitely not on their best behavior on air. I do feel bad for a lot of the people they show. A lot of them seem like they are low in cash and are living very difficult lives.

The format of the show is to jump from one person's story to the next and back again. It's a little over the place. I do like the fact that it is reality and it shows how hard life can sometimes be. It makes me appreciate everything I have in life. I do work very hard for it though. So do these people and that is what is said about this show. Sometimes life isn't fair and these people seem to have it harder than most.

The show runs about an hour from beginning to end. I find myself liking one of the characters not usually all of them. I wonder where a lot of them end up. The one I just finished watching was "True Life: I am Poor." One of the characters portrayed was a young man whose family had absolutely no money and they were being evicted from their home. The whole family had $100 between them and needed to find a new place to live. The packed all their belongings in a pick up truck to move to a new place. I couldn't imagine living like this.

The shows reruns a lot of the episodes just in case you missed one. I do find myself watching this show a lot. My poor husband has to sit and watch with me. I am not sure he is such a big fan as am I. I am looking forward to the next new episode. It always amazes me how other people live.
