Is it tender ears that hear?
Or soft hands that touch?
Is it alluring eyes that peer
And see so much?
Is it sweet caresses
In the midnight sun?
Or is it tender kisses
And embraces on the run?
Is it seductive whispers in the night?
Or shouts of joy in the afternoon?
Is true love a bright, shining light?
Or is it a subtle shadow under the moon?
True love is a phenomenon,
A hard thing to define.
It desires to please another,
And not to be unkind.
When it comes to defining love,
I know one thing is true,
And that is I found true love
When I married you.
