True Love, A Real Life Account

So shall it be, so shall it be...as thee look into my eyes and see
my soul is yearning for thee...

We are the experiencers of our own destiny, and we have to create our own experiences. Therefore, whatever we say, think and believe, becomes us.
So how on earth and in heaven, can we ever, ever be sure that the love we have found - is true?

Let me tell you about my experiences...(Yes, Angels can love too!)

This man, this one man, entered my life unknowingly bringing every ounce of goodwill in me down to a standstill! How could he, for I am not a person to allow interference in my married life?

He could - and he did.

So what am I trying to tell you...first of all, when you think you're in love, measure your thoughts against what this person means to you. Love is serious business, and not only sex. (By the way, we didn't have sex - we kissed once - that's it). But so many people have the misconception that the feeling you feel when you feel you cannot feel anything else any longer, is love..you know, the feeling when your knees get weak, your mouth gets dry, your cheeks get red...that is lust.

But yeah, if you really, really love someone, that feeling will also be there - and often!

Now, when you made sure that what you feel is not lust, what is it that spells itself out as love?

You know, think hard and long about this one. You have to admit, this is serious stuff. To decide you love someone, means more than just to love - it means accepting the other person for what he or she is and who he or she is...regardless. It means accepts all the other persons' mistakes, as well as goals, ideals and dreams. It means to live with the idea that you have to share everyting with that person, even your secrets...it means you have to trust this other person enough to know that he or she will - unconditionally - help and support you, and that you have to do the same. And yes, it means that whatever you want him or her to do unto you, you have to do it first!!

Bit of a scary one, this, isn't it? So are you really, really ready to be in love, or are you just having some fun?

Recently I thought that I can abstain from him; no chance...he keeps on coming back to me in dreams, thoughts and heartache. I sometimes wonder if I let my soulmate go..I have thought and re-thought everything I said above...and still get the same answer.

Like a dream, I want to shake myself and say - "Wake Up! Wake Up! And smell - there are no roses!" But alas, there are roses everywhere.

We even might have a Guardian Angel. Sweet one, only my soul will know every truth within your reach..and may God forgive me if I pursue the wrong goal, for not knowing better...
