whether winds blow or a storm comes,
the sparrow doesn't even bat an eye,
finding food, even crumbs.
Though winter it's rage,
the sparrow doesn't remain in a cage.
He works and works,
without worry nor fear,
taking care of itself and it's family,
no matter what comes near.
If we watch the sparrows at work, so strong,
we learn how "we" can be.
No worrying in our hearts belong,
For we know what to do, you see.
The sparrows don't despair when there's work to be done.
They gather food and fly, with glee,
showing us thy kingdom come,
how we should trust in Thee!
I was sitting, here, watching the snow fall down, the other day and
I thought of the hymn about the sparrows and wrote this poem.
It helped me feel better and I hope it helps someone else.
I hope all is well with everyone, everywhere!
Times are real tough, for some, including me, but I know that God is watching over all
of us who believe in Him and trust Him.
It takes constant work to keep the faith, but He knows that.
God bless you all!
We all try to trust God, no matter what. It is very hard to do that, I know, but what choice do we have? Do we want to waste our time worrying over things that we cannot change? God wants us to trust Him so that we may have peace and joy! :o) He loves us more than any words could express and wants us to have anything that our hearts desire. When we trust Him, there is a sense of peace that is indescribable. :o) He will comfort us through it all, and we "will" make it through any storm, if we give our hearts to Him and trust Him. He knows how hard it is to trust Him. After all, He made us in His likeness.

Beautiful words. Thank you for sharing them.
fear not those who kill the body...do not two sparrows sell for little...yet your Father knows when one falls to the ground-but the hairs on your head are numbered-so have no fear-as you are worth more to your Father than the sparrows.. paraphrased Mt 10:28-31 You are a blessing to us all Mary-Anne.
If God cares when even a tiny little sparrow, who are considered the least of all birds, then how much more does He care for us? Too much to even count. Great write. :-)
You are so very right. Trust in the lord no matter what we're going through. God Bless!
Very nice poetry. Sparrows and winter together remind me of the story "The Happy Prince".
Beautiful words of encouragement that came just when I needed them most! Thank-you! Yvette
May the Lord bless you through your difficult time.
