When we went down the electronic aisle we didn't care about brand names. Years ago when we weren't so concerned about saving money before our son was born we would have purchased a top of the line DVD player with the best brand name that cost a fortune. Nowadays we shop around and do price comparisons. We are always looking for a great deal. I quickly spotted a price sticker that stated DVD player for only $29.99. It was the brand Trutech. I have never heard of Trutech before but it didn't matter. You couldn't beat the price for a DVD player. According Target.com these are the features:
• Plays DVD-ROM, DVD+/-R/RW, SVCD/VCD, CD-ROM, CD-R/RW and 8 and 12 cm discs Inputs
• Plays JPEG and MP3 video and audio files
• Progressive Scan (Y-Pb/Cb-Pr/Cr) and S-Video components
• Includes remote control with batteries and A/V cable
• 2Hx9Wx9L"
We went home and installed it right away. My husband said installation was a snap.
The instructions were clear. The remote is lightweight and user friendly. On the Menu screen you can choose a scene from the movie instead of fast forwarding or rewinding to get to the part of the movie you want to watch. You also have the choice of viewing it in widescreen mode. The DVD player is small and compact. We are extremely happy with our new Trutech DVD player. You can purchase this product at the Target store or online at Target.com. If you want it shipped to you these are the shipping dimensions 12 inches length x 9.5 inches width x 4.5 inches height.
My advice is to always keep your receipt. You never know if you are going to end up not liking it and needing to return it.
When I went to work the next day after purchasing my Trutech DVD player I was sharing my story with a coworker. It turns out he purchased a Trutech CD player and he loves it too. His cost around the same $29 price as my DVD player. He said he hasn't had a problem with it at all. I don't have the model number of his but I am sure you can find it at the Target store or online at Target.com.
If you want a good product at even better prices I would suggest going with Trutech electronics.
