Try a Casino Night Party for Your Teenager's Birthday

Give Them the Thrill of Vegas at Their Birthday

Arthur Kirk
Are you looking for a unique birthday party for your teenager? Well here is an idea to make them feel like an adult, throw a "Las Vegas Night" Birthday Party for them. With the popularity of casino gambling on television, especially The World Series Of Poker, Visiting Las Vegas and Atlantic City are ideas that appeal to teenagers. Unfortunately they are too young to gamble at the casinos, so why not turn your home into one for your child's birthday party.

I'm not suggesting real gambling. For a Las Vegas Night, or casino night party you will want to have several casino type games that your teenager and their friends can participate in at the birthday party. Give each teenager a stack of play money when then enter the birthday party that is equal to each of the other guest's stacks of money. Let them know that they can play a variety of games during the night gambling with their play money and at the end of the night the guests can bid on party favors in a auction style format with their play money. To keep it fair, limit the party favors to one per person.

To run the games get a few adults to volunteer to help you, and then decide on the games you will have at the Las Vegas Night Birthday Party. My suggestion would be to have a table set aside for blackjack. Also set aside a table they can play poker at. You can also set up a variety of other games around the room or house for your teenager and their guests to play at the Las Vegas Night Birthday Party. One idea is horse racing where there are six horses on a track and the players can bet on each horse, you roll a die and each time that horse's number comes up they move one space. Throw three dice at a time to speed it up, and make a rule such as if one horse has his number come up on three dice he wins the race automatically.

Another idea would be to have the numbers one through six on the strip of cardboard. Let the players know that you are going to roll three dice and they will bet on what numbers they think will come up. If their number shows up on one die pay them at a one to one rate, if it comes up on two pay them at three to one, and if all three show their number pay them at ten to one. These gambling games are just a few ideas for different game stations you can have at your Las Vegas Night, you can have anything you want. Even something like "War" where you play the classic game against the dealer using one card each. Let your imagination build your teenager's Las Vegas Night Birthday Party.

Let the teenagers socialize and play any of the games they want while at the party. For food you might want to serve something simple like finger foods or pizza that they can carry around. For an extra touch you might even want to make virgin drinks for them to continue the Las Vegas theme but gear it to their age group which can not drink alcohol. Encourage the guests to get into the theme and come dressed to the party as if they were in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Your teenager will lose the originality of your birthday party for them.
