Saturday afternoon found us in Savannah, Georgia. It was two in the afternoon and my stomach was rumbling. So we wanted someplace to eat. Some old fashioned food, but with something new. It was then that I remembered driving by the Sticky Fingers Restaurant, but I had never actually eaten there. So that was the eatery of choice.

Sticky Fingers is right off of Abercorn Street. If you are going east toward the Oglethorpe Mall it will be on the left side right before the light before the mall. It shares a shopping plaza with Best Buy, Office Depot and Havertys Furniture Store. There is only a small amount of parking in the front, but plenty around the sides. At two in the afternoon we were able to park right out front.

At this time of the afternoon we expected the restaurant to be a bit empty, but it was fairly full. We did get seated right away, but they were doing a brisk business. The host immediately sat us and our server came to take our drink orders. Our server didn't bring us silverware and napkins until after our appetizers. He was being kept very busy.

We did start out with an appetizer. We decided to have the Sticky Potato Skins. These were wonderful. They were the traditional potato skins with pulled pork inside them also. There is on the table and array of signature barbeque sauces and we tried them all out on the skins. I have to give them kudos for these. They were good. By the time our server brought us the silverware and napkins our hands were a bit greasy though.

For my meal I got the pulled pork dinner. I love this, but was not in the mood for a sandwich so this seemed to be a good option. It came with pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw and toast. They gave me fries instead of the cole slaw with no problem. There was so much meat on my plate I could not eat it all. But it was so good! I did try out the sauces and found out that Carolina Sweet was my favorite. My lunch partner got the half rack of ribs with Carolina Sweet. He really seemed to enjoy those also. His came with two sides to pick from. Their sides vary from Barbecue Baked Beans, Cinnamon Baked Apples, Southern Style Rice, Green Beans, Baked Potato, Homemade Cole Slaw, Seasoned Fries & Potato Salad, House Salad or Caesar Salad. So there is a wide variety to ponder over.

Other choices that were there were chicken wings, rotisserie chicken, different sandwiches and salads. It all looked really good. And as I saw him take dishes to other tables they all looked very good, and I saw other things that maybe would have been as good as my dinner. And we really should mention their desserts. Though I had no room and had to bring some home with me, their desserts looked awesome. They offer a pecan pie, peach cobbler and a fudge pie amongst various other things. Basically I wanted to try it all.

As far as cost goes they seemed to be very reasonable. Though I can not remember exact prices for what we ordered, our lunch came to about thirty-five dollars. That was two drinks, an appetizer, and two dinner plates. To me that was alright for a sit down meal. Though this wouldn't be a place that we would go to every week, it would be affordable for that once in awhile meal out.

Over all I really enjoyed Sticky Fingers. They can be found in Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina and Tennessee. They also list two new locations opening up, one is in Texas. If you live near one I would definitely recommend them. If you are traveling and want to step up from the McDonalds this may be of interest to you also. I almost forgot when they hand you the bill you get warmed wet wipes, just to clean off those Sticky Fingers!
