Are you starting to notice those first subtle signs of aging? Maybe you are tired more often then not, see those first few wrinkles around you eyes and mouth? Your thighs jiggle faster then the Jell-O in your favorite bowl? Before you make an appointment with the plastic surgeon for a spot of Botox or a session under his scalpel read the following tips to help you stay younger longer.

And the winner in todays aging lottery is stress!
Nothing ages us quicker then being under constant stress. High stress levels cause your blood pressure to rise and your heart to beat much faster. With constant worries and reasons to stress out our body receives constant high dosages of cortisol and adrenaline. Our bodies aren't anylonger ready to take such high doses. We have in the past become to passive to adjust to such levels. Now our bodies are reacting by depression, anxiety, obsessive anger, insomnia and high blood pressure just to name a few. All these are caused by constant stress and are a big cause in a haggard appearance adding years to our faces instantly. Give yourself a break by meditating or using a reaction response. Just 10 minutes a day of repeating a mantra, regardless if it is a word, a phrase, a sound or a simple prayer, will help to prevent age related changes in your brain. It is easy enough for anyone to do and all you need it a quiet place where you won't be interrupted, yourself and the wish to relax your mind and body. Sit quietly in your chosen place. Allow your head and neck to relax by rolling your head, neck and shoulder slowly and breathing deeply. Keep your eyes closed and repeat a simple mantra over and over in your head. That is a white noise that will keep all other thoughts out. This may not work for you the first time, but by slowly repeating "I (breathe in) am (breath out)" you can bring your focus gently back to the emptiness. You want to clear your mind of all worries and stresses.

Can't bear to sit still, go for a jog instead?
By doing something repetitive your body goes into sync while you breathe deeply. Don't think of the bills, the job you hate or the problems you have at home. Instead focus on breathing deeply and the way your feet land on the ground with each step.

Eat more fat, the healthy kind that is.
Try consuming 2 grams of Omega-3 Fats daily. You can find this healthy and good for you fat in Salmon, Walnuts and Seeds. Why is it such a good thing to eat? This fat helps you to stabilize your mood, maintain bone strength is a wonderful agent against inflammation in your body. Omega-3 also helps your body to pull fat out of your body by boosting the enzymes responsible for turning fat into energy. You can also take fish oil supplements instead, but recommend the Omega-3 fats.

Stop being a Couch Potato

Yes, you are tired, but your body won't thank you for letting your muscles and body go to waste. Regular exercise is not only essential if you wish to loose weight, but is necessary to build stronger bones and boosts your mood. It also improves your libido. A well exercised also means a clearer mind. Make time for 20 minutes of physical exercise a day, no matter if this includes running, walking or dancing around the house. Physical activity enhances not only your mood, but reduces stress as well. An all around win - win situation.

Love is in the Air!
Love is an amazing heal all. The hormones released in the body allow you to be energized, full of get up and go and it is an amazing self esteem booster. What does that have to do with your appearance? Simple if you feel good you look tons younger.
