Ovulation, Fertility, and so Much More

Women have been trying to get pregnant since the beginning of time. Even Eve went through the process of getting pregnant; having a baby-bet she didn't have medications like we do! Yet, the emotions and journey is the same for each of us.

Having been trying to get pregnant for several years, I believe I can adequately share the most important thing to remember throughout your journey. Each step you take, each medication you endure, each tear your cry, each baby you watch go by--- you can keep a smile on your face and keep trying!

The joys of pregnancy are WORTH our TTC (Trying to Conceive) journey. The day we hold our own baby in our arms is worth everything we will ever endure. So.... Buckle up, grab your cup of tea, and get ready to dive into the world of "Let's Get Pregnant."


Trying to Conceive 101

Caffeine is a no-no!

You might as well go off of caffeine completely. Your body has to learn that it can't have what it wants when you are TTC! Drink more water and fewer sodas. Really take the time to focus on what you are putting into your body. Each of the TTC 101 tips focus on your body and really priming yourself for fertility!

Vitamins are a must!

Taking your prenatal vitamins is one of the first things you should start doing when you begin the conception process. There are great prenatal vitamins to choose from. Just make sure you take one daily. There are many websites that offer fertility focused vitamins to really pump up your body!

Keep a Journal

There is nothing more important than keeping a journal to track everything you are doing throughout the month. You want to know how your body is acting, what's it doing, and figure out when you ovulate. Track your cervix mucous, your ovulation, and each thing that happens to your body throughout the month. Look for patterns.

Eat your Fruit and Veggies

Eating healthy is another important thing you should do from the get-go of trying to conceive. Watch how many sweets you eat and really take the attitude of what you put into your body matters when you are trying to conceive.

Stay Connected

The emotional connection between you and your spouse is extremely important as begin the process of getting pregnant. There will be highs and lows throughout the month. The better you can stay emotionally, spiritually, and physically connected with your spouse, the better!

Menstrual Cycle 101

You need to know how many days are in your menstrual cycle to really begin calculating when ovulation is happening for your body. Remember that Day 1 happens the first day of full bleeding. The last day of your menstrual cycle is the day before your bleeding begins.

Ovulation

Every woman is different. So the actual day you ovulate will be different for every woman. The typical time of ovulation is around day 14 but don't take this as law. Learn your body and find out yourself which day you actually ovulate. This will make the world of difference in helping you conceive. Use an ovulation kit to better your chances!

Improve Fertility

There are many herbs to help you be more fertile. Also, simple things like not drinking caffeine or not smoking can greatly affect your fertility or infertility. The more you realize what you put into your body really does affect your fertility, the better your chances of becoming fertile will be.
