I follow Jesus, I have since 1997. And while my faith is frail, I feel better now than I did at 18. And part of it is my faith growing. I like to write about things because I think it will make me more important. And although Jesus says we are all precious, I guess, I figure if I'm so smart, I can help people through writing.
Jesus said don't worry about what you eat. He was talking about being ceremonially unclean. I don't think he was talking about don't worry about eating fast food. So if you stick to a diet rich in what they had available in Jesus's times, those foods are very healthy, such as apples, apricots, barley, beans, nuts, cheese, chicken, fish, carrots, garlic and other wholesome natural foods. An excess of any food though can be bad for you. So I don't disagree with Jesus advice, I just think we have to keep in mind there were no genetically modified organisms and growth hormones back then. Everything was natural.
So while some people like to poo poo faith, I find it is still relevant to todays world. But another reason I like to write is because I find it creative. Helping others learn and grow in mind body and spirit is very satisfying and if I can do it by writing I am happy.
I find some things that are helpful to health and want to share them with you. I have written about how I have become motivated to get in shape by meditation. It helped me get a grip on my fears and control my wild emotions.
I have also written about other helpful things. Like stopping acne, using essential oils to relieve stress and other things I hope people found helpful. But my favorite reason for writing is hopefully touching others with my story.
I have suffered, and yet through meditation, I realized that even butterflies must struggle out of their chrysalis if they are to survive. Life is not without hurts and trials. But having faith and learning to be grateful and forgive others is very important. We might go on being victims if we don't overcome our fears and let them take over.
I may be sensitive. I may be frail. But I have faith that God will strengthen me and give me wings. We are like rosebuds waiting for the sun to awaken us. Let us never forget God's glory. Jesus spoke of God's wonders in nature. It is the cynical who want to celebrate nature without acknowledging God.
I don't want to go through life afraid. I don't want to think, What if. I dreamed of touching people through my writing. I hope I can touch you.
