T-Shirt: A Quatrain Poem

National Poetry Month Daily Challenge: Quatrains

Khara E. House
What wonders in a treasured old t-shirt
That round your shoulders you can tie and drape
And, romping through the grass and sand and dirt,
Imagine it a glorious, sprawling cape

A king or queen reclining in the shade
Or superhero soaring, soaring high
When with your t-shirt you proudly parade
You rule the earth--the sea, and land, and sky

A t-shirt ought to be a special joy
And, oh, what pleasure any day would be--
Much grander than with any other toy--
Just you, imagination, and your tee!
