T-Shirts Created to Donate to Fund for Eric LeGrand, Football Player at Rutgers Who was Paralyzed Recently

Julia Bodeeb
The store Scarlet Fever at 109 Somerset Street in New Brunswick, NJ is about to start selling T-shirts to raise money to donate to the Eric LeGrand fund at Rutgers University. Eric was recently paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury while playing football for Rutgers. He has a C3/C4 level injury to the vertebrae, notes NJ.com. It is not yet known if the paralysis will be temporary or not.

The Rutgers community and the world pray for a full recovery for Eric LeGrande. Let's hope Eric is soon able to resume his studies at Rutgers.

Two T-Shirt Designs

There will be two designs sold to benefit the Eric LeGrand fund. The first shirt will say Rutgers on the front and 52 and "Keep Chopping" on the back The second shirt will say "Believe" and have the number 52 and highlight the letters "EL" to represent Eric LeGrand.

Rutgers University has given Steve Ostergren of Scarlet Fever permission to start selling the shirts to benefit the LeGrande fund.

More T-Shirt Ideas

And perhaps the store would like to start another t-shirt to honor the memory of Tyler Clementi. The shirt could be purple and have a design of a violin on it. The funds raised could go to a music scholarship Rutgers could create in honor of Tyler Clementi. Or perhaps the t-shirt could have Tyler Clementi's name and a quote about kindness or tolerance.

I like the idea of a tee shirt honoring Tyler Clementi, with proceeds to go toward a music scholarship. I wish Eric well, too.
