Tubgirl & 2girls1cup - a Startling Trend Sweeps Across the Internet

I have a morbid sense of humor. It takes a lot to offend me, and I'm not even offended by the images discussed in this article. Consider this a "head's up" to parents out there who think that explicit content on the web is limited to simple pornography. Your children will never be safe on the Internet. They will stumble upon amoral pictures and videos without trying to. These things creep up on social networking sites, and chances are, your teenager is probably familiar with them.

What "things" am I talking about? In the mid-to-late 90's, shock sites infected the Internet. A shock site is a web page that contains either an image or a video that is so disgusting (understatement), that it's the type of nugget you pass on to your friends. You can't help but to watch. You can't help but to stare. You can't look away. These shocks far surpass anything normally found in R-rated films. If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read any further, as I am going to single out the most notorious shock sites.

Tubgirl - One of the first shock sites to come into existence, Tubgirl is a picture of a girl lying on her back in a bathtub. She is fully nude with her legs up in the air hanging over her face. Projectile diarrhea is squirting out of her anus. The dark yellow liquid creates a fountain and spills onto the girl's face. Her mouth is wide open. It gets worse, folks.

Goatse - This is a series of pictures. A naked man stretches his anus so wide, that you can almost see his entrails. He places various objects into the hole, which is stretched to the width of a dinner plate.

LemonParty - This is a picture of three elderly men engaging in oral sex. While LemonParty isn't nearly as disturbing as other shock sites, it's still mentioned in the same breath as Tubgirl, Goatse, and...

2girls1cup - This may be the most popular shock site. It's currently all over the Internet, and it was even spotlighted on VH1's "Best Week Ever." Of course, VHI wasn't able to actually show the jaw-dropping video. The video itself begins with two naked girls making out. It seems harmless until one of the ladies defecates into a large glass. Her friend proceeds to lick the fecal matter as if it were ice cream. They kiss with the waste smeared on their lips. If that's not enough, the girls vomit into each other's mouths. Yeah.

2girls1finger - A sequel of sorts that covers the same ground. The only difference between "finger" and "cup" is that a girl in this video poops (I'm all out of euphemisms) directly into another girl's mouth.

One Man Meatpie - This is a picture of a man covered in crap. He's also eating crap. I think that I've underscored enough of these online pleasantries.

Some laugh at shock sites; others want them completely erased from the web. Unfortunately, it's virtually impossible to nullify any of them. Someone is bound to save the images to their computer. Shock sites inevitably resurface after being excised a first, second, and seventeenth time. They are hard to filter, as most of them are stored under innocent-sounding web addresses. They are even hard to avoid. A friend is likely to e-mail a shock site to you for a few giggles (I admit, I've done it).

"2girls1cup" has become a sensation on YouTube. No, the video is not on YouTube. There are at least 20 "reaction" videos of unknowing citizens being shown the outrageous clip. Go ahead and search for "2girls1cup reaction" over at YouTube. You'll see how far shock sites have spread across the wires. Love them, hate them...I'm indifferent. However, if you are a parent of a teenager and you've never heard of shock sites, you should know what's out there.
