Vero Amore

Vero Amore opened their doors in 2006 to the pure delight of everyone in the midtown area. There are now two convenient locations, one on the Northwest corner of Camp Lowell and Swan and the second at the Dove Mountain Retail Center. This Authentic Italian pizza restaurant is more than just your typical pizza parlor. In 2010 it was voted "Best of Tucson" for the Tucson Weekly, "Best Authentic Italian Pizza Joint". The mozzarella cheese is homemade, sauce from San Marzano tomatoes, and the highest quality ingredients. The pasta rivals the pizza in choice selection. The salads are original and fresh and a pure delight to the palette. In addition you will find a delightful selection of wines from which your extremely attentive wait staff will be happy to assist in your selection.

The atmosphere is perhaps the most appealing Valentine Day bonus. Art prints depict heart shapes, candles, and table clothes create a cozy atmosphere. Even your gourmet pizza will be heart shaped. The only drawback is the limited seating. I recommend scheduling your reservations early.

The Grill at Hacienda Del Sol

For a truly impressive Valentine treat, The Grill at Hacienda Del Sol offers a special menu prepared by chefs: Evan Phillips, Charles Hamm & Tavel Bristol-Joseph.

This four course meal begins with Oyster Rockefeller. The second course is a choice of a Petite Spinach Salad or French Onion Soup. The main course ranges from a choice of Stuffed Quail, Braised Veal Ossao Bucco, Buffalo Strip loin, Grilled Filet with Lobster Tail or Pan Seared Arctic Char. The side dishes are just as eloquent as the main course. Our fourth course provides a choice of Chocolate Strawberry Mousse or the Hacienda Sunday.

Daisy Mae's Steak House

If you are looking for a really incredible steak dinner at a very affordable price then Daisy Mae's is the perfect choice in these, "neck of the cactus" serving only Certified Angus Beef.. Daisy Mae's was selected one of the top 25 steakhouses in America for two consecutive years by the American Academy of Restaurants. I personally vote it the best Filet Mignon I have ever eaten.

As one would expect, the entrée's consist of steak, pork, chicken and the catch of the day. The atmosphere is casual, the wait staff extremely friendly and attentive. A full bar is offered. For a casual yet romantic dinner with your Valentine, I highly recommend Daisy Mae's Steak House.
