Tudors Star Jonathan Rhys Meyers Headed to Rehab (Again)

The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 32, is headed back to rehab for treatment for alcohol addiction.

According to PEOPLE, a source close to the actor said, "He just really wants to get better. This has been an ongoing battle for him."

IrishCentral News reports Rhys Meyers, a native of Dublin, was "pounding drinks into himself at 7 a.m." at the JFK airports private bar in New York City. When he attempted to board a United Airlines flight bound for Los Angeles, he became "belligerent and disruptive." His behavior caused him to be denied his seat and a banning from flying on any United Airlines flight in the future.

Yes, Jonathan. We all know who you are. As a star, you - and those like you - should learn to show more class.

This isn't the first time Jonathan Rhys Meyers has gone into rehab, nor is it the first time he has caused a scene at an airport. What's with bad behavior in our airports, Jonathan?

In 2007, Rhys Meyers was arrested at a Dublin airport for public intoxication. That didn't deter him because in 2009, police detained the actor for three hours at the Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris after he allegedly assaulted an employee in the airport lounge, Le Quotidien.

According to PEOPLE, the bartender refused to serve Rhys Meyers because he "appeared drunk." Rhys Meyers and the bartender then got into a shouting match before the bar manager and another employee stepped in to separate them. At one point, the actor swung and hit the bartender and the intervening waiter.

Bad behavior is nothing new to young Hollywood. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is, for example, in the company of Lindsay Lohan, who, according to TMZ, just this morning learned a bench warrant was issued for her arrest because she failed to appear for a hearing. Both stars have been in and out of rehab, yet they continue to fall back to the bottle and bad behavior that is getting them nowhere fast.

Perhaps with a new round of rehab for his alcohol addiction, fans will see a new side to Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He is certainly a star worth having around for the long-term. However, if he continues down this destructive path, his career could easily come to a grinding halt just like Lindsay Lohan's has.
