The "tour" is a five course dinner prepared by the master chef at Tulalip Bay and includes an appetizer, soup, salad, main course, and dessert. Each month is a different theme and the food is truly an experience. The service is five stars as well with at least two to three people waiting on you at any one time. The last "tour" we experienced was called Northwest Cuisine. Our appetizer was a delicious type of crab cake on a piece of fennel with a cherry tomato all garnished with red pepper flakes and a drizzle of a delicious sauce for dipping. The soup was ale and cheddar soup that was fantastic and I never wanted the bowl to end. For our salad we had smoked mussels over a bed of arugula and the dressing they created also had a tint of red pepper flakes to give it some flare. Before the main course our host flambéed some grilled pineapple and black pepper to cleanse our palate. This was a fun little show and made it taste just that much better!
For the main course we had the choice of Sturgeon or Pork Chop which my husband and I agreed to get one of each so we could share. The sturgeon was a delicious white fish prepared with tomato and basil, sweet corn, and fingerling potatoes. The pork chop was sliced like a fillet with the bone in and served with mashed parsnips (much better than I thought they would be) and cauliflower which was very tasty. We were both very satisfied with just a little room for the dessert. This dessert was insanely good and was plum upside down cake, plum sorbet, over fresh sliced plums. If it sounds over the top the pairings actually worked really well and was sweet, refreshing, and juicy. The cake was warm and creamy and I just wanted to climb inside and take a nap. What was the best part about this entire experience? The price... only $45.00 per person to take the "tour" and I promise you'll want to tour every month for such a reasonable price.
