Tulip fields might not seem like they have much to offer at first glance other than a variety of colors but they do there is a lot of fun that can be had from going to tulip festivals all around America. Even though tulips are mostly associated with Holland they have been gaining popularity in America for quite some time and for years past there have been tulip festivals in the spring time resulting in them becoming a fun past time for many people and their family's to enjoy. People flock to see the rows and rows of different brightly colored tulips and to take nostalgic pictures of them as well, it is almost always easy to get a wonderful picture of tulips.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival; For Over twenty-five years one of the hugest tourist attractions to Washington State is the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival spread out over a fifteen mile radius just take any exit off of I-5 between 221 and 236 every exit has a tulip festival brochure at the nearest business located off of the exit. The festival runs from April 1st through April 30th. There are many other things one can do as well. Barbecue stands, art shows and much more but the major attraction remains the same and that is rows of tulips. Even if it is rainy and yes it just might be it is Washington State after all, the flowers remain as beautiful as they ever could be. A nice place to visit if you are going to be anywhere near there at all. Most times admission is free.

Since 1986 Woodburn Oregon has been celebrating it's tulip festival every year running from March 25th - April 26th. Starting location is 33814 S. Meriden RD, Woodburn Oregon there is over forty acres altogether of tulips as well as daffodils. Bus parking is available as well as it being accessible to wheelchairs. Admission is ten dollars per car load on weekend and five dollars Monday-Friday. Some of the more interesting colored tulips can be seen there.

The Canadian Tulip Festival claims to be one of the largest tulip festivals in the world catering to over 500,000 visitors each year and it has been running since 1953. It goes on for three weekends during the month of May ending with the Victoria day weekend. The festival expands over four sites of the National Capital Region in Canada. If going to Commissioner's park enter at intersection on Carling Avenue and Preston Street. If entering at Lansdowne Park then enter 1015 Bank Street. For the tulip festival mirror tent in festival plaza enter at Laurier Street and Elgin Street. If entering for Major Hill's Park go to intersection at Mackenzie Avenue and St. Patrick Street. With over 300, 000 tulips bulbs planted each year and music concerts to fashion competitions a lot to see and do at this festival.

Albany New York hosts its own tulip festival located on intersecting at Madison Avenue and Willett St New York in Washington Park. It last for only two days this coming years schedule says it will be from May 7-9 from 11:00am-6:00pm. Each day offers something new to do. From a parade at the start of the festivities which features authentic Dutch costumes, to concerts and dance performers this is one festival that offers many different activities besides browsing the various rows of beautiful tulips. It is usually free to get in to the park itself.

Whether you want to go and see the beautiful fields of tulips themselves or are going for the whole festival you will not be disappointed.
