Tupac, Jay Z, Ke$ha... No, Kesha

Music is a huge influence in pop culture. I remember when Rap music was about smoking weed and gang-banging. Then Tupac started rapping about why he did the things he did which gave us a perspective of his lifestyle and added substance to Rap music making it an art...Then he died and we ended up with 50 Cent, the world's most idolized victim. He told us to follow our dreams and one day we too could be shot. He makes loads of money by speaking a lot while never really saying anything. From there, Rap music has become nothing more than millionaires telling us how gosh darn nifty they are.

Let me take some time to mention the most over-rated rapper of all time, Jay Z. People talk about him like he's the second coming of Tupac, but why? Tupac had a gift to invoke feeling through his craft making the rare case of modern musical art. Jay Z uses the word "jigga" to rhyme with "the n word." People have mentioned Jay Z's song "Song Cry," yeah the kitschy song where Jay Z actually pretends to cry while singing, what an artist.

Stop calling these singers "artists." They are not producing art and when a song does come along that has meaning, it's usually written by someone else. Many singers can't even sing, Kesha... I will not hold "shift" and press number "4" instead of pressing the letter "S" to make a character that makes the "es" sound,... what the hell is wrong with modern music... For those of you who are wondering "What the hell is a Kesha?" I'll clear that up for you, from the best of my knowledge Kesha is a form of audio VD. Let's stop calling these puppets . . "artists" and use the more appropriate word "package" since all they offer is an image.
