Turbo 2-N-1 Switch Grip Review

The Best New Product in Years!

I know I usually do golf reviews and topics, but I am also an avid bowler. I get out for about 10 games a week and average in the high 190's. I hope with some new equipment I am about to buy this Winter I will be back up into the 220's, I have been out of the game for 2 years and my old balls are dead!

I had a buddy let me use his ball this past weekend to try his new Turbo 2- N-1 Switch Grip. The Switch Grip is a totally custom thumb insert that is totally transferable from ball to ball!! Thats right, you can move your thumb grip around! How is this possible? Let me tell you!

The Switch Grip has two main components. The base which holds the grip, is set into a drilled out thumb hole. The ball driller, after taking your measurements drills a hole large enough to fit the base into, lets it set in with glue or epoxy, then moves to the next step. The sleeve, is then inserted into the base and contains the slug material that the ball fitter will drill out to your thumb size. Next is the really cool part!

Any serious bowler, like a serious golfer, wants their equipment to fit them perfectly each time. No matter who drills your ball, you are not going to get the exact fit from ball to ball in the thumb area. You should get the same fit in the fingers if you use inserts, but the thumb has always been hit and miss! With the Switch Grip, you simply get a few of your balls fit with the base of the grip, maybe a spare thumb sleeve and you are ready to go. If you throw a strike and are leaving 10 pins all night you may want to switch balls to see if you can get that 10 pin carried on its marry way to the rack right? You also want that ball to feel the exact same way in your hands even though it is going to react differently on the lanes right? Now you can have it your way! Simply place your thumb in the ball, twist your thumb in a counter clock wise motion and pull up! The sleeve, which is perfectly fit to your thumb, comes out and can be moved into your next ball, or any other ball with the Switch Grip base in it! It's amazing!

When I tried it, i did almost everything I could to get the grip sleeve to slide out but it was solid as a conventional thumb hole! The one hang up my buddy told me is that it took a few to get exactly the way he wanted it to feel so it cost him the price of a few extra sleeves, but hey, he now has 2 sleeves and 4 balls that he can move to for the exact fit he is looking for no matter what ball he picks up! I'll be getting these in my next round of balls, you should give them a try too!
