Different Ways Prepare Turkey

There are many ways to prepare and enjoy eating this large fowl that are not foul at all. In fact they are very tasty and simple to make so that you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen.

Turkey Pot Pie;

You will need to debone 1 small cooked turkey.

2 cans of cream-of-chicken(or cream of celery or cream of mushroom), 2 cups of milk, 4 cups of chicken broth(or juices from the cooked turkey), 1 cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon of coarse ground black pepper, 2-3 cups of flour, 1 cup diced celery, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon salt, deep dish pie crust shell

Bring the soup to a boil. Partially bake the pie crust in a deep large baking dish at 425 degrees for 5 minutes.Place the cooked turkey in the shell. Pour the broth over the turkey and then the soup. Mix the dry ingredients with the melted butter and fork into the turkey. Cover with pie crust dough and bake for 45 minutes to an hour or until a knife inserted is withdrawn clean. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before serving.

Oven fried turkey;

You will need 1 turkey cut up into frying pieces like you would a chicken.

1 cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon coarse ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 1/2 cups of Bisquick baking mix.

Mix the butter in with the dry ingredients and coat the turkey pieces generously. Place the pieces skin side down in a metal baking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes uncovered. Turn the pieces once and bake an additional 30 minutes or until done. Serve with sweet potato french fries and warm sour dough bread.

And for desert deep dish banana cream pie.
