Turn Around Now

Mike Powers

A poem. Rondeau. A Meditation on Today.

Turn around now; look now and see
Today is done... where did it flee?
Evening has come, vanished today;
Tomorrow comes, but it will not stay;
It too shall pass by fleetingly.

Days fly by evanescently;
Soon go the years, ephemerally.
Blink not your eyes, treasure each day;
Turn around now...

Today seek generosity;
Do good for others cheerfully.
Ere tonight falls, cherish today
In what did we do and what we say.
Make each day count fervently --
Turn around now...

    A clarion call! As we get to the evening of our lives, we have to make up for the lost years! The whole creation is dynamic, every moment to be cherished and not wasted. Thanks Mike for the sterling words and reminders - siva
