Store bought muffin mix is anything but sexy. Sometimes it isn't even that tasty. Yet, the thrifty shopper can resist the three for a dollar or one dollar pre-mixed muffin mixes in the grocery store aisles.

How can you sex up store bought muffin mix? There are a lot of ways to make these mixes more sexy, tasty, and, yes, even healthy.

The real trick is in the healthy part. It's not news that fresh foods are the best for your libido. There are a number of fresh foods, particularly fruits and vegetables that can help improve your sex life.

Why not sex up that store-bought muffin mix with some fresh ingredients from your home?

1. Wheat Germ

Sex up your muffins with nutrient-rich wheat germ.

Wheat germ is rich in Vitamin E and it helps increase blood flow. Healthy blood flow can lead to a healthy sex life. You make the connection.

Wheat germ can be mixed into a muffin mix and baked with the store-bought muffin mix. However raw, wheat germ is more beneficial, and about one tablespoon can be mixed into a fresh fruit smoothie, to accompany the muffins.

2. Mashed Fresh Bananas

One way to improve your sex life is to increase your level of energy. Treat yourself and your love to some muffins with two whole mashed bananas mixed into the recipe. Not only will the muffins be moister, your body will be infused with potassium. Potassium is one of those nutrients which helps the body produce sex hormones.

3. Chopped Nuts

Chopped nuts like walnuts can be sprinkled into the store bought muffin mix. Use up to a quarter of a cup for sexed up muffin recipe. Or place three or four halved or whole nuts on the top of the muffin batter before placing the muffins in the oven.

Nuts add zinc, which is essential for the health of the male reproductive system.

4. Fresh Berries

7. Ginger

    Layla - you mean one muffin recipe will ALL the ingredients? You can add these into any muffin mix (just choose flavorful combinations)
