Turn Offs for a Girl

Guys, there are some things that you do that can immediately turn off a girl. Even though she may think you are cute, and that you dress well, it all comes down to how you behave. Sometimes, you do not even know that you are doing something wrong. A lot of women would rather not say anything about it at the time, but will just keep it locked away in their minds on a special list of reasons why she is not going to call you again. To avoid this, try to be aware of what turns off women by asking female friends their opinion about it. You can also pay more attention to body language and facial expressions. This could be hard if this is a first date because you might be wrapped up in your own mind trying hard not to mess things up. For starters, here are several ways you might be turning off a girl.

1. Going in the Fridge

So you've been invited over to her apartment to hang out for a while. This could be your first or second time over and you are really excited to spend some time with her. As soon as you get in, you take a look around after giving her a hug. Next, you walk into the kitchen and open up the fridge to see what's in there. Mistake. Do not go into someone else's fridge like it's your own. If you can still be considered a "guest", then you should not make her refrigerator a destination unless you ask her if you can grab something to drink. Hopefully, if she is a decent hostess, she will offer you something first. Once you have been over to her place enough that you are no longer considered a guest, you are just fine.

2.The Know-It-All

One thing women look for in a guy is some type of intelligence. But there is the guy who thinks he knows everything. He assumes that he knows more than the girl and often enough talks down to her without even realizing it. Guys, you will not impress a girl with your smarts by making her feel stupid. No one knows everything so if your lady friend asks a question about something you think she should know already, don't respond by saying "Aw, that's cute, you don't know anything about baseball". Getting to know someone allows you to grow together and share interests. You both might have different areas of expertise so don't assume she's an airhead because she doesn't know about certain things.

3. Making Sexist Comments

Do not ever, I repeat, do not ever tell a woman what you think she should be doing. For example, you both decide to stay in for the night and cook dinner. After you complete your delicious meal, she begins to take the dishes to the sink. She asks for your help after realizing that it would be easier and much faster if you pitched in. You say "Sorry, that's woman's work". You should then prepare yourself for a potentially heated debate. In today's society, there are plenty of people who still hold old-school tradition close to their hearts while others value independence and equality. Whatever the case, you should refrain from making sexist comments to any woman. Even if she seems like she doesn't mind cooking, cleaning, and whatever else women "should be" doing, do not say anything that could possibly offend her.

4. Being Close-Minded

You don't have to travel the world and have tasted cuisines from various countries to win over a girl but it does help to be open-minded. No girl wants a guy that has no room to grow or change. She might suggest trying a new type of food, exercise routine, movie genre, band, or even bed spread. It is a turn off if you turn down everything she wants to try because you simply just don't want to change at all. You don't have to like everything but at least put forth an effort to be open-minded. It shows that you have the potential to be a good boyfriend or husband if you are willing and open to change and grow with her. You aren't being asked to change who you are, but no one stays exactly the same as you progress through and experience life

5. Extremely Materialistic

Any girl can appreciate a guy who knows how to dress well and keep up with himself. But if you blow up every single time there is one tiny smudge on your shoe then it has officially gone too far. No one wants someone who is so worried about their clothes, shoes and hats that they can't even pay attention to more important things. Another turn off is a guy who constantly talks about money every single second. Whether you are a natural born hustler or investment banker, it's not hot. Even gold diggers get tired of hearing about the money, they just want it.
