TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player) can be considered the missing link when it comes to enjoy your media files on the go. This video player for smartphones is an open source program that performs very well. This application will allow video files to play smoothly on your device without any hiccups. Although the interface does not provide users with a visually stunning interface, it still gets the job done. The entire installation process is simple to complete and will only take a few minutes to get done. This handy little media player can handle a vast number of video files, such as XviD, FLAC, H.264, AVI, and many others.
TCPMP will automatically scale videos to make sure that it will fit your device's display. You will not have to fight with all sorts of settings to have a great looking video output. This application will do an impressive job of handling your video files. However, in some cases if you have larger video files the application will occasionally slow down a bit. The sound quality produced by the TCPMP is also works very well. Once you place your earbuds into your ears, it seems as though there is a sort of surround sound effect. Users will be able to fine tune their preferences to get a more enjoyable playback.
Considering all the software applications I have encountered, this one is in my top rated list. It has a reasonable price with stunning results. I am not sure how long this software will last because it has no homepage and there are not many updates available. However, add it to your collection and you will not be disappointed with its results. Anyone that currently owns a Treo or Palm device should take a good look at this application. It will make viewing your favorite videos while on the go easier. Using TCPMP will definitely turn your Treo into a portable media player.
