TU's Kinny Spotwood Signs with Team Tennessee in the AAFL
Golden Hurricane Player Signs with the All American Football League
Spotwood's Agent, Brian Curthoys of Champions Sports Management in Tulsa, Oklahoma said, "Kinny has what it takes to play football at the highest level. Since finishing his college career at the University of Tulsa, he has worked extremely hard to reach his goal of playing professionally. He has done everything we have asked of him working out in numerous combines and tryouts. His persistence paid off with the draft selection by Team Tennessee of the AAFL. We are looking forward to a long and productive professional football career for Kinny."
As I have personally observed Kinny for the past year and a half in a business setting, several qualities stand out about him. He is genuinely a nice person, friendly, intelligent and well spoken. His determined and motivated attitude will go with him to his new profession and I envision him being a great team representative not only on the field, but also in any business or media setting for Team Tennessee. Kinny has clear goals, he not only wants to have a winning career in football, but he can envision owning a sports performance center when his football career is over.
When Kinny isn't playing football, he loves spending time with his daughter and his family. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports of any kind and he likes working on old cars. When asked about his most memorable game, he said, "Winning the Liberty Bowl to finish off a good first year in a new conference."
He is quoted as saying the advice he would give young people is "to never give up." That says it all; if you know him you can see that trait clearly in his approach to this career. With his obvious charisma and drive, he is going to be a great role model to young people and an asset to Team Tennessee and to their new coach, Andy Kelly. Football is not only a game Kinny is passionate about, but it is also a serious business career, and he is the type of person who will put everything he has into this opportunity.
Keep an eye on Kinny Spotwood; he is destined to be a star!
