Tutorial: How to Live Your Rock Star Dream and Other Fantasies...At Home
Save Money and Live the Fab Life!
Be Your Own Rock Star
This process is easy. You need a home karaoke machine and a couple of compact discs of your favorite music. Practice for a time until you have your singing routine and dance moves down pat. Then invite friends and family over for a karaoke party. Wow them with your karaoke performance. You can give away signed photographs, complementary sound recordings, and other mementos of the event, or save them for great Christmas gifts. You can be a rock star without the headaches of becoming a celebrity. If you really want to have a blast, have someone record the occasion and treasure it for years to come.
Make a Music Video
If you have a video recorder or a digital camera with recording capabilities, you can get a friend to record your own music video. If you want to become famous, then you can download it to one of the many social networking web sites like Associated Content or YouTube. Or you can Podcast it over your favorite channel. You don't have to be a rock star anymore to be famous. You can find your 10 minutes (or 3 minutes) of fame now because in the Podcast world everyone is a star.
Make a Movie
The average family PC is the perfect movie editing studio. Spend hours recording film with your digital camera. Then splice it all together for a homemade movie that you and your family can enjoy for years to come. If you want to be famous, then you can also broadcast it on the Internet. Who knows? Maybe a Hollywood type will approach you for the big screen movie rights.
Win Your Own "Survivor" Show
You can plan a weekend or a sleepover with a group of family or friends. Develop an elaborate theme for your "Survivor" show and have someone record all of the events. Be sure to spend plenty of time developing the perfect strategy for winning your own game. Then you can splice the best moments together and publish it on the Internet.
The Internet is a great tool to launch your self into the world showcase or to just have a little fun. You may not be discovered, but you and your fans can have a blast doing these and other great things at home. Save money as you watch your dreams come true. Don't worry. You won't have to spend years in and out of rehab recovering from your fame.
