Now TV enthusiasts can find wide varieties of topics on their favorite shows through different media platforms. Some of what TV Guide offers are reviews, behind-the-scenes, interviews, and breaking scoops. This can all be found online, on-air, and through its weekly magazine.
I was given three magazines to review and was asked to view the TV Guide Web site. I found myself loaded with information that I never knew that they offered. I had been looking for new shows to add to my existing ones that I watch starting in the fall. I was able to view and read about the new fall line up. I even read about some informative scoops on the shows that I already watched. Which I have to say made me very happy!!
Sneak Peak at TV Guide Magazine
September 10-16th Issue
This was a special issue dedicated to the Fall Previews. On the front cover it states that they have the scoop on 78 hot new shows. Just this alone took me by surprise. (I ,again, had thought that they really on offered a guide to show time listings. ) I was able to find just two pages into the issue a listing of 21 shows that are a must see. They called this their Hot List. I then turned and found myself reading about the Top 10 Stories from television. It was worth the read. I was able to read up on some upcoming pilots. This gave me the needed additional insight on each show. I made my decision from that magazine as to what new shows I was going to check out. I am happy with my choices so far. They then went into a preview of shows based upon what days they are on. This was helpful as well. To conclude this magazine would be worth the purchase for anyone that loves to watch TV.
TV Guide Online
I had never gone to TVGuide.com so I did not know what to expect. I had always went to the network website if I wanted additional info on a certain show. What is nice is that you can find what you need all in one spot. There is no need to visit multiple sites anymore. The site is very easy to navigate on. I was able to find anything I was looking for in a flash. One of the most important features I found was that I could watch a full episode on-line if I had missed it on TV. There is a charge of 1.99 for this service. But to someone who is knee deep in a show it is worth the fee. They offer blogs, message groups, and fan groups for those that want to discuss their favorite shows with others. You want to see pictures and read articles on your favorite shows and their actors/actresses? They have that too. They even had information on movies that are in the theaters, on TV, and on DVD. I wasn't quite expecting to find that in their website. But there it was!
TV Guide has evolved to become the one stop place to get all your needed information on TV and movies. I know that I will be visiting them a lot more often. Hope you will, too.
