T.V. Hunting Holiday Guide

Finding excellent deals on televisions are not that hard to find these days, top manufactures in these categories are Sony, Samsung, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, and the like. But hold on to your hats folks because those budget manufactures sometimes if not frequently deliver a picture quality comparable to other well known manufactures.
Lets say Sony vs. a not to well known brand like Vizio standing in front of them both at the local Walmart the Sony T.V. colors were noticeably a little blander than the Vizio. Which had brighter colors and an on average approximately 30.00 to 40 dollars less than the Sony model. (I guess its just me but I've noticed that blandness with Sony sets for a couple of years now with almost every model T.V. they have.)

Now lets get back to looking for those deals I'm a Walmart person so that would be my first stop to pick up a television. I would wait for a special and pick up a lesser known brand with a 2 year replacement warranty from Walmart. Depending on the price cut and model you can save at least 30% overall purchasing a lesser known brand. If a big name brand is more your style you might want to check Micro Center or New Egg but most likely, I'm not saying all the time. The television you have your eye on is probably refurbished from these two vendors.

Also before ordering online try visiting a Best Buy or if not an electronics expo and try the product before you commit to buying from an online vendor with a more appealing price tag. When it comes to Plasma vs. HD obviously you want to go for the plasma T.V. which are always widescreen designs, I'm not even going to touch upon the classic box designed brethren. (mostly cause I don't really know of anyone that sells them aside from those 19inch Cartoon designed to accent a child's room.)

Now a quick rundown to getting a great deal on a television.

1. Overall Quality
(If your you going for a lesser known brand check out if your vendor offers an extended warranty coverage.)

2. Picture Quality
( Personal preference comes into play here check out the display section a your local physical store before you buy.)

3. Price
(Remember Walmart, Micro Center, New Egg, and Costco Wholesale are my top 4 picks when it comes to price remember at Costco you need a membership. The Sunday paper is a great place to look for deals especially around the holidays all major retailers in your area will have circulars in there with specials. )

4. Plasma or LCD
(Plasma will have a better picture quality but LCD will double as a computer monitor that's a choice I will leave to my crafty readers.)

5.Browse
Don't buy the first bargain you come across look around to find the best possible deal.

Go out there readers and get that holiday deal!
