Oh Lord,
my mind was filled
with television images tonight.

aliens mate with earthlings.
I saw
bikini-clad hips
shake to sell cars.
I saw
diamond rings glitter
for next to nothing
on network, shopping TV.
What is the truth
of reality?
Please extinguish
the false light shining
through the chemistry of my brain.
