TV Review: Wild 'N Out on MTV

If you like improv comedy, then Wild 'N Out is for you. If you are familiar with the old show "Who's Line Is It Anyways" hosted by Drew Carey then you will enjoy Nick Cannon's show Wild 'N Out on MTV. Wild 'N Out is currently on season 4 and it's airing on MTV at 7P.M every Thursday night. Wild 'N Out consists of two teams of comedians together to form the black squad and the red squad in which they will battle improv comedy style for a championship comedy belt. Each week the show has a new guest comedian/actor/musician to try and take home the comedy belt. The black squad is led by the celebrity guest while the red squad is headed by Nick Cannon Himself. If hip-hop is your style then you will enjoy Wild 'N Out. Unlike the show Who's Line Is It Anyway, the points do matter here on Wild 'N Out which makes it more exciting to watch.

There are many different types of games they play on Wild 'N Out and just naming a few of the more popular ones such as, R & Beef, Talkin' Spit, Home Jeeves, Got Props, World's Worst, and So Fly. There are about 30 games in total, and which games the play just depends on the show and who the celebrity guest may be that week. They play 3 games each show and at the end of each show they have what they call the "Wild Style Battle" which is a freestyle comedy battle, and you get a point for each funny line and a buzzer for each "whack" line. The highlight of the show is their celebrity musician performances at the end of each show, some guest appearances have included, Lil Jon, Mike Jones, Three 6 Mafia, and Busta Rhymes, like I stated previously if you're a hip-hop fan then everything to do with this show is right up your alley.

A lot of the shows regular comedians that are on every week are comedy club regulars that perform on a regular basis around the United States. One of the well known regulars is Katt Williams; you may have seen him on Ice Cube's movie "Friday After Next" or seen him on his stand up comedy on HBO entitled "The Pimp Chronicles". From Katt Williams to other well known celebrity comedians this show has a lot to offer for comedy fans out there. I recommend this to anybody who needs a good laugh that's into the whole hip-hop scene. Remember Thursdays at 7 P.M on MTV.
