Brian considers himself the 7th wheel when he is with his friends. The series is set in LA and characters include his sister, who happens to be pregnant and her husband. Although he loves his best friend Adam's girl Marjorie, she is strictly off limits, though he did give it a whirl. He tries to keep his mind off Marjorie by "Trishing." Trishing" stems from a girl Trish he went out with in the 5th grade who he really didn't like. Now the phrase "Trishing" is used by Brian's friends whenever he is dating a girl he doesn't really like, which is always since he is in love with Marjorie.
Another of Brian's chicks is the car girl. She is the girl he smashes into while he is desperately trying to rid himself of the tunes of Air Supply while checking the hot blonde in another car out. Car girl herself is a dog lover who is a real neat freak with a streak of control issues. Needless to say, this love affair fizzles quickly.
Lisa was introduced to Brian by Brian's one true love, Marjorie. Lisa owns at least forty tubes of lip gloss and is under the impression that Spinal Tap is a medical thriller. This is a perfect "Trishing" romance except for the fact of Lisa's roommate Lisa B. Brian meets this Lisa in the bathroom. Turns out she loves the movie Spinal Tap and has a great career as a fashion designer. They have a hot quick fling and for some reason (Probably to keep the show going) (Guess that didn't work either) they decide that it'd be too weird to keep seeing each other.
Seems to me that for someone who is supposed to be involved with Brian's friend, Marjorie is awfully chummy with Brian. She is always calling him and it seems as if they had an affair in the past. Suffice to say, Adam is not happy about it and takes it out on Brian every chance he gets. Marjorie is not helping matters any by clinging to Brian as "a friend" while she is supposedly trying to build a relationship with Adam.
What you have here is just another soapy, star-crossed lovers television series. There is nothing new to find here except for a few pretty faces and some hot bods to drool over. Unfortunately that seems to be enough to get a show on the air and renewed these days. But I do think What About Brian's days are numbered. As far as I can see, this series is not on the fall schedule and for that I am truly grateful.
