TV Show Review: Dancing with the Stars

How Will All the Voting Go?

Amy Knowse
Dancing with the Stars started with way too many dancing contestants. Another issue that has struck me as important is that many of the so-called stars are not; many of these brave people are essentially unknown. People tune into this show to see stars, not models, not race car drivers (sorry Helio) and this year the show has even had celebrities sing and so forth. The show is better when it sticks to its format that originally turned into an incredible success. I will not be watching this show next year. Since I have been viewing it this year and since I am a dancer myself I would like to share some of my insight so far where the remaining contestants are concerned.

Marie Osmond has surprised me more than anyone, I guess not only due to her improvement in posture and holding her midsection correctly but in her, what has become beautiful dance interpretations, and her attitude. At first she seemed like the same old cocky Marie, and although that is probably still there, she is being more mature and ladylike in her answers and acceptance of her point rulings.

Jenny Garth, Marie Osmond, Jane Seymour, The Spice girl (can't remember her name) and cheetah girl (can't remember her name). I feel like any of these women could win, it is really up to the viewing audience in the end-as it was with Emmit Smith. Each woman is giving a 110% and each one is doing a fabulous job with some dances that are quite difficult, I can tell you. Then there is Cameron, hmmmmmmmmm, what a great paso dobles he pulled off. I was very impressed and again, that viewing audience, you and me, will make the decision as to who gets the trophy.

What an entertaining show. It sort of seems like Bruno likes Cameron or am I the only one who notices? And I think Ann Arbor's vote and verbiage was harsher with Jane about the lift than the others who did lifts. Lennnie seems to want to be more likable this year. He is.

Oh well, no one ever said the world is fair and I am so impressed with Jane and her beautiful dancing and also her mature ability to be gracious about criticism. These things make her still my favorite, as from the first, even if she does not win. And now that the field is narrowing I have my doubts that she can win; but I can still hope
