TV Show Sneak Peak: The Forgotten

Stephanie Grohol
The Forgotten is an intriguing and interesting new show from the mind of Jerry Bruckheimer. The Forgotten will air on the ABC Network on Tuesdays for the 2009-2010 TV season at the 10 pm time slot. The Forgotten is just one of the many shows that Jerry Bruckheimer has produced and this one is no exception. This show is a crime drama that tells the story about a group of amateurs who are dedicated at what they do who work on cases that the police have filed away and became something like cold cases. The cases are the ones that the police have just thought as ones that will never be solved so it is up to these amateurs who take over. They must have to figure out what happened to these people in order for them to find out the killer was. It will also help them find out who the people that they help are in order to apprehend the killers. They make the decision to give back to those whose lives were taken and so they won't be the ones who are considered "The Forgotten."

Apparently in this country, there are over forty thousand people who have been killed and never identified. It is up to those who volunteer to find out who they were in order to get them justice and so they will never be forgotten. These groups of people are called the Forgotten Network and gather wherever they can in order to work these cases. They work as long as they can in order not to let the dead be buried under the names of John or Jane Doe. The following is a list of those who are involved in the Forgotten Network.

Christian Slater plays the character of Alex Donovan - Alex Donovan is the leader of the Forgotten Network. He is also a former police detective. He retired from the force after he had one of his own disappearances. His daughter was one of the ones who went missing and is considered one of The Forgotten. He will use the skills that he learned so he can help the victims and find the killers.

Michelle Borth plays the character of Candace Butler - She is an office worker in the Forgotten Network. She is considered a strong minded, stubborn and confident in what she does. She also helps in the cases so she can help identify the ones who are victims.

Rochelle Aytes plays the character Grace Russell - Grace is a homicide detective with the Chicago Police Department. She is a very resourceful woman who knows what she has to do in order to get the cases solved. She also happens to be the one that Alex goes to in order to get the information needed and Alex is her former mentor.

Heather Stephens plays the character of Lindsey Drake - Lindsey Drake is a science teacher who was married to a man who killed. She had made the decision in order to help those that were killed by his hand, she herself will help those who need to find that justice.

Anthony Carrigan plays the character of Tyler Davies - Tyler is an artist who has yet to be discovered but is doing what he can in order to be discovered. He is also someone who did not make it in medical school and he also knows the streets. He was ordered to help out the Network with community service.

Bob Stephenson plays the character of Walter Bailey - Walter Bailey works for the phone company who has only good intentions. He also has a passion for true crime and has at times been a bit overzealous when it comes to helping out.

The Forgotten seems have to a good plot and and interesting idea. Reminds me a bit about the other TV Show, Cold Case, but that is where the similarity ends. While on Cold Case, they are officers, on The Forgotten, they are civilians who take on the task of finding out what happened, piecing together the puzzle and getting justice. This show has intrigued me and I am hoping that it does make it and is not canceled. The Forgotten will air on ABC on September 22, 2009, at 10 pm eastern standard time.
