TV Shows to Look Out for in 2007

Steve
Starting January 2007, many shows will be coming off their "mid-season finale". There are 5 shows that if you haven't looked started watching, or didn't even know about, you should definitely try out. The seasons for each of these shows look like they are going to be better then anything ever before.

NOTE:The shows I mention, are shows that would be easy to get into for a newcomer to the series. So don't expect a show like Lost to be on this list that someone who would just start watching in the middle wouldn't really be able to grasp what's going on.

House M.D. - January 9. 2007

It's time to see how House deals with the harassment detective Tritter has been giving him, and potentially losing his license to practice medicine. Not to mention he may get jail time.

House is a great medical dramedy, featuring over the top and rare diseases that only the highly intelligent, highly unethical, and highly sarcastic Dr. Gregory House can solve. And of course he gets some help from his crew of doctors, Dr. Eric Foreman, Dr. Robert Chase, and the beautiful Dr. Allison Cameron. He also has a great, but very weird relationship with his one and only friend, Dr. James Wilson, and the Dean of Medicine, Dr. Lisa Cuddy. Even if medical dramas usually don' appeal to you, you should definitely try and watch this show, you may just start liking them.

Heroes - January 22, 2007

Who's on the list?. Did Peter see the future? What happened with Sylar? These are 3 of the many questions that many people had after seeing the last episode of Heroes.

Heroes brings together ideas, from things such as X-Men and Lost to make a stellar and intriguing show. It shows ho several people's lives change when they gain powers such as time-travel, flying, and super human strength. But not only how their lives change, but how they all have to come together to not only stop the Antagonist, Sylar, but save New York from an explosion that will supposedly happen in the near future. And don't think of this as something such as an X-Men, or other comic book series' It's definitely darker then that.. And this is definitely for more mature audiences, as it deals with themes such as sex, drug abuse, and violence.

Monk - January 19, 2007

"The Obsessive Compulsive private detective"

Adrian Monk, a former Homicide Detective who lost his wife to a car bomb accident caused his already obsessive compulsive disorder, intensify deeply. This has helped him in having extremely great memory, and the ability to notices very minor details and using them to solve cases. Which is the premise of the show. His assistant at the moment, Natalie, helps him with tasks that he couldn't normally do, usually because of his OCD, or his many phobias. I would recommend this show to anyone, whether you buy the DVD's and start from the beginning, or you watch the re-runs on USA.

Psych - January 19, 2007

"The Fake Psychic"

Like Adrian Monk, from the TV series Monk. Shawn Spencer has an almost superhuman photographic memory, and observational skills. Except he was trained by his father to be this way. Backed into a wall, he used his photographic memory to act as if he was physic. Now, him and his friend Gus own a detective agency, known as "Psych". Shawn Spencer's arrogant, and boyish personality, which is balanced out by his friend who is more level-headed, makes this a great show to watch. Have this on your Tivo.

American Idol - January 16, 2007

Who will be our next American pop star?

American Idol is back and looking like it's still going to go on strong. This isn't a mid-season premiere for American Idol, it's actually the season premiere. Even though I like watching and voting for my next American pop star, my favorite part(as with many other people) is seeing the worst of the worst out there in front of Simon, Randy, and Paula.
