The nerd to top all TV nerds: Steve Urkel was the bane of Laura Winslow's life but he was truly the star of the series, Family Matters. From his thick-rimmed glasses to his high pants with suspenders, he's truly one of the most memorable characters in television history.
2. Dwight Shrute- The Office
From his stoic knowledge of Battlestar Galactica to his loyalty to his beet farm, Dwight Shroot is your quintessential nerd of the office. He's a confident nerd though with a backbone. He's cut-throat for being the number one salesman, he's fought for his affair with Angela, and he's loyal to his boss and best friend, Michael.
3. Lisa Simpson- The Simpsons
The nerd who is loved by millions around the globe, Lisa Simpson is a big-hearted and strong-willed nerd
who loves the saxaphone and her Malibu Staci dolls. And she's not afraid to show off her brains
either which makes her a role model for all aspiring smart girls.
4. Leonard and his roommates- Big Bang Theory
The boys of Big Bang Theory are what makes nerds loveable. They're vulnerable, funny, and wickedly witty. When they're all together, they're an unbeatable team.
5. John Cage- Ally McBeal
John Cage was a memorable character because he was the sensitive, awkward man who was a
killer lawyer. He's the classic fairy tale story of a nerd who grows up to be a success even
though he still has some obstacles to face.
6. Artie Abrams- Glee
Artie isn's your typical nerd. He still gets picked on by the bullies and jocks, but he really rocks it hard when he's showing off his vocals on the new hit series Glee.
7. Ned- Pushing Daisies
He's a pie maker. He's awkward and quiet. And he's got magical powers to bring people back to
life. Ned is an underrated character in an underrated show. Hopefully, they'll both get the recognition they both deserve in the near future.
8. Chloe O'Brian- 24
Chloe is a great breath of fresh air in the midst of the high adrenaline rush series, 24. She's a whiz on the computer and a great help back at headquarters. Let's hope to continue seeing much more of this high tech nerd chick.
9. Neal and his friends- Freaks and Geeks
Everyone had a "nerds" group at their school. Neal and his friends on Freaks and Geeks was the group of nerds that reminded us a little of ourselves when we were in high school.
10. Hiro Nakamura- Heroes
Hiro is an avid comic book fanatic. But he also possesses great powers that can stop time. With his cheerful demeanor and his yearning to save the world, you can't help but love this character.
