Twas Night Before Tweetmas

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Guy Siverson
The following poem is a remake of the night before Christmas with special emphasis on those who enjoy tweeting on Twitter.

Twas night before Tweetmas, when all through Twitters house
Not a tweeter was tweeting, not even a Logitech MX Laser Mouse
Everyone's ID was closely watched by father Twitter with care
In hopes that all spammers would soon never more dare

Favorite tweeters were all welcomed and rated by Twitter Grader
While visions of avoiding blocks danced in there minds fader
And @ImmaChocoholic with her chocolate and I with my health
Had newly discovered ways of sharing all our awesome wealth

When out on TweetDeck both are tweets began many tweetings
And I excitedly sprang from my chair with shouts of new meetings
When what to my wondering eyes would begin a twittering
But a fun healthy chocolate tweetup with everyone clattering

Announcements to all tweetful messages of glee they did go.
While tweet after tweet the RT's of our twitterings did flow.
One simple request to all are family of tweepers was made
An RSVP in response so planning for them they would bade

To everyone's amazement only silence was brought at the start
While mystically and magically everyone's eyes did they dart
Daytimers, Ipod's, Calendar's and schedules were they to review
With hopes of attendance none were quite sure that they knew

Lacking affirmative RSVP responses from most at the very first
While hopes of becoming a trending topic with tweets would burst
Then suddenly it happened a pleasure of tweetful surprise
A tweet was received for positive attendance we surmise

The first to respond was @DanRMorris with his organic wine
Able to participate, he would be; while hearing from the grape vine
Our healthy chocolate tweet up was missing a drink of any kind
To add to our fun, delicious nutritious wine, if we would not mind

So ecstatic we were that to notice we nearly failed to believe
From trickle to pouring RSVP's we began quickly to receive
More yes's than no's with RT's in full gear came the tweets
Seemed everyone everywhere wanted their shot at our sweets

So on this December 25th everyone's milk and their cookies
Pleasantly replaced by organic wine and healthy chocolate goodies
As tweetmas tweeters both near and far were joyously merry
And bright Christmas wishes with a happy new year all did carry
