Tweaking for Performance

Little Steps to Excellence

AC FITNESS BOY
I went from being told I would never accomplish anything after High School, to Graduating Magna Cum Laude at a University to being number 2 in sales in JCPenney furniture department to Office Manager for a photography studio. Then I did some teaching at a daycare and was encouraged to pursue politics.

While I am not sure if I want to be a politician, the secret to my ability to come back after being knocked flat emotionally has been tweaking.

Everything I do is a game. Can I think of a better way to do something? How can I improve this situation. The thoughts are small. The results are real. You can do it too.

The thought of little steps isn't new. The government has used it. I used it and you can too. I have used this game to be a better writer, a better sales person, a better worker. Sometimes its true that there is politics in things. But by trying to always improve your results, you can achieve accomplishments.

I did this to lose weight, to be a top 1000 on Associated content, to get better grades on the GRE. I hope it inspires you to take the steps necessary to achieve your dreams.

I hope to spread this knowledge. Sometimes called Small Steps, I read a book about it that just reinforced my own experience. Tweaking can apply to anything, little steps to big achievement. The reason it works so well is because you bypass the part of the brain that processes fear. Focusing on the details, you take a gradual approach to success.

You can tweak at home, tweak at work, tweak in personal and professional life. I used it to learn to play the clarinet. It's a complicated instrument but a little bit of practice in a year I am able to play Amazing Grace on it.

You can tweak to make the world a better place. Helping one person, one group, one world just by picking up after yourself, picking up after another person. Keeping the peace by counting to ten helping others who can learn from you.

I always thought it was important to have morals. And you can even tweak to learn not to lie. By doing the little things well, you won't make a need to cover up after your failures. I highly suggest you learn to tweak. It might help you achieve the success you always wanted.
