Tween Bedskirts for All Budgets and Tastes

Tween girls are exactly what they sound like - stuck "in between" being little girls and serious teenagers. Decorating a room to reflect this age without being too childish or too grownup can be tricky! Luckily, there are a variety of stores that cater to this age group - and, best of all, they are all available for ordering online. Adding a bedskirt to any "tween" redecoration can give your tween's room a polish and finished look, adding to the "growing up" vibe most tweens are going for. All five of these stores have been wonderful to work with, and I have ordered items for my own tween daughter's room from each of them. Target
Target has a great selection of bedding designed just for tweens! From purple fur to flowers galore, anything you want can probably be found here. Best of all, you can order online and the shipping charge is not only reasonable, but quick. My favorite bedskirt at Target is from the "Happy Flowers" collection. Primarily a cool yellow, it is edged in pink ribbon and a lime green scalloped edge. It goes with a variety of decor and adds an adorable touch to any room. It's $19.99 for the twin size and $29.99 for the full/queen size.

Pottery Barn Kids
You can never go wrong at Pottery Barn! Although more expensive than some of the other selections, the quality if amazing and the selection is fantastic. The tween bedding is is very girly-girl, with toile, flowers and loads of pink, green and lavender, this is the place where princesses go. Shipping is fast and reasonable, especially when combined with other purchases (and once you see the selection, there will probably be other purchases!). My favorite tween bedskirt is the from the "Garden Party" collection, which featured bright happy flowers, butterflies and ladybugs. It is expensive - from $69.99 for the twin up to $89.99 for the queen, so be on the lookout for sales and clearance prices.

JC Penney
JC Penney offers a whole line of tween and teen bedding, numerous sales and discounts, and a quality product. the "Little Miss Matched" collection offers a series of incredibly cool tween girls' bedding with dots, stripes and other prints in a variety of vibrant colors. My favorite is the "Marvelous Dots" collection, which offers a cute turquoise and lime vertically striped bedskirt that goes with a variety of room decors. This does come as part of a bed-in-a-bag set that includes reversible comforters, pillowcases and sheets - so when your tween gets bored with one look, she can easily change it. The set starts at $89.99 for the twin up to $119.99 for the queen and included the comforter, 3 reversible pillowcases, 2 sheets, 1 reversible accent pillow and 2 sheets of wall stickers. I ordered this for my daughters room and it's gorgeous!

Rosenberry Rooms
What a cool store! Online only, you can find some a great "princess" bedskirt for your tween! This site allows you to shop by color, design element or theme. My favorite is the "Eve" bedding set, which has a great while bedskirt with melon embroidery in a floral pattern. It is versatile enough to go with many bedroom themes and is a crisp, non-pleated or ruffled skirt. It adds a classic touch of sophistication to any tween room, and will last for a long time. The entire set is available for $229.00, or you can buy the bedskirt by itself for $29.99.

Wards Kids
This cool store offers everything your tween could ever want in a room. With ideas, accessories and clearance prices available all the time, this is a great place to look for that perfect tween bedskirt. My favorite - and a huge hit with my stepdaughter - is the "Catalina Stripe" set. The bedskirt is a set of brightly colored stripes that you can use in conjunction with the matching comforter, or alone with a plain or more subtly patterned comforter. The cost for the twin bedskirt is $19.99, with the queen at $29.99.
